MARY MC CANN is an actor, a founding member of Atlantic Theater Company and Executive Director of the Atlantic Acting School. Mary has had many opportunities to work with incredible writers, director and actors, most recently in critically acclaimed production On the Shore of the Wide World by Simon Stephens. This was Mary’s third time working with Mr. Stephens, previous productions were the title role in Harper Regan and the sold of run of Bluebird starring Simon Russell Beale. Other productions include: The Weir at Irish Repertory directed by Ciaran O’Reilly, Our New Girl by Nancy Harris, and Ghost Stories by David Mamet. Mary has appeared in many world premiere productions at The Atlantic Theater Company including, Ethan Coen's Almost An Evening and Offices, the hit musical Spring Awakening and Annie Baker's acclaimed play Body Awareness, The Night Heron by Jez Butterworth, This Thing of Darkness by Craig Lucas, The Beginning of August by Tom Donaghy.
Mary is grateful to have worked with the late Spalding Gray and Wendy Wasserstein in the Lincoln Center Production of Our Town and the Second Stage revival of Uncommon Women and Others. Other Broadway credits: The Old Neighborhood,andSearch and Destroy. Mary played the role of Carol in David Mamet’s Oleannaat the Orpheum Theater for a year;Boys' Life(Lincoln Center) andHot Keys(Naked Angels).

Mary lives in New York City and is married to Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe, they have two children, Lena and Juliette.
